Abstract
Abstract :
@EN The developmental changes of endocrine cells in the pancreas of developing rat were examined by peroxidase-antiperoxidase(PAP) method.
Gastrin, somatostatin, glucagon and cholecytokinin-8(CCK-8) cells were first observed on 15 days of gestation and pancreatic polypeptide(PP) cells on 19 days of gestation. The number of somatostatin and PP cells were increased from fetal to
weanling
period and then decreased during adult period. However, increase of glucagon cell in number was continued to adult period. The gastrin cells were not detected from 14 days after birth and CCK-8 cells were only identified in the period of
gestation.
The endocrine cells were found as a single cell throughout general epithelial matrix on 15 and 17 days of gestation. From 19 days of gestation. Endocrine cells except gastrin cells were mainly distributed over periphery of the islet and a few
somatostatin cells were observed in the interior of the islet. Gastrin cells were scattered as a single cells within islet. And these cells were rarely detected among exocrine parenchyme.
